RESULTS R OUT! :)
Well this may seem wierd but i've been looking forward to the results from the day the exams got over...not cause i expected to do spectacularly well, i just wanted to know how it was. Well now that its here, it turns out i did a lot better than i expected.. I CAME THIRD IN MY COLLG!!! :D. Really surprised by this, especially since i wasted all my prep leave sitting on orkut complaining bout how the exams were commin up n how I should study to anyone who would care to listen...and most who didnt want to. A special thanx must go to Harsh n Divesh for being instrumental in the collosal waste of time that was my prep leave... oh n not to forget Ms. Megha. so i ended up studying only like 6 days..n now that its out all i'm hearing from people is that if you studied you would have come first... i mean that is so typically indian... its always 'if you had put in a little work you would have come first but any way congrats'..NEVER the other way round... says a lot about us as a people; that attitude!! BUT I DONT CARE!!! I CAME THIRD n i'm happy !!! :D
The Beautiful Game Comes To An End...
It finally had to happen...the world cup 2006 had to come to an end and so it did. Italy won the cup against all expectations...and every team that I supported lost!... I mean not a single team won...how does something like that happen :) good thing I’m not a betting man...still it was a month of entertainment. But I think it was a bitter sweet experience in a way, although I really wanted to see who would win now that its over a lot of the great players will retire from international football. No more zizou, nedved, henry, ballack, ronaldo, beckham ....the list is endless.
The first world cup that I saw was when it was held in France in 98' when the French won with many of the same players that they had this time round in the finals...that time they were just starting their career...full of young blood this time round it was no longer the young blood but rather the experience that counted ..the playmakers no longer capable of doing what they did 8 years back...I guess sentimentally I wanted them to wrap up their careers the way they began...complete the full circle. Sadly it was not to be...
We had made plans to watch the finals at a local club - Zinc - on the big screen that they had put up such things are always better in a crowd of people I feel where the atmosphere becomes electric and the event no longer remains an event but rather become an experience...but all those plans were laid to rest when it turned out that the state was shut down by a political party because some idiots did some stupid shit in Mumbai...there were riots in the state capital n sporadic acts of violence in Pune, but that was enough for all the shops, restaurants and every form of business to shut down shop! things did look normal by early night n the game was to begin at 2330 so we did still think of going out but decided against it just in case...in the end nothing happened but the threat was enough to ruin our evening n those of I don’t know how many others...it was strange to watch these images of people from around having a ball while we sat huddled around a TV watching the biggest event of the year...hehehe well I exaggerate a lil' it wasn’t that bad we did kinda have a mini party of our own so it wasn’t all bad :) but it was a rude reminder of the fact that even though we live in a free country we really don’t have control over our lives...someone far away who sits in a position of power will be able to influence it ..for the good if they want but mostly its for the worse...
The entire month life revolved around the football n now that its over there is going to be a void in life for the next few days but at least I’ll have my life back :)

This is me..
Well its been a while since I created this blog but I haven’t really posted anything here...i was thinking bout writing this in the 'About Me' section but then decided to post it here..
How many times has it happened to u that someone asks you tell me about yourself n u freeze like a deer in the headlights rambling on about the most insignificant things...I’ll try not to do that this time LOL so here goes...
Born in a small town of Amravati near Nagpur in Maharashtra on Sep 13th 82’ I’ve just been there twice...having mostly a nomadic existence because of a dad who is in the army...the silver lining of that is that I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world…but the inevitable dark cloud is that I get bored of a place really fast...a trait which I have not yet been able to overcome
I know many people but have few friends and even those are compartmentalized…a typical Virgo trait I’m told. The phrase that describes me the best I guess would be ' a contradiction in terms '...I’ve been called honest and a liar, diplomatic as well as tactless, nice and mean, funny n Mr Grim. etc etc…u get the idea...but the one thing that everyone agrees with is that I’m level headed… so at least I got that going for me …:)
I completed my graduation in Microbiology from Pune University but right now am pursuing my masters in computer management...but I hope to get back to 'my roots' so to speak in the future...the biological world truly fascinates me...its intricate and delicate and at the same time simple n sturdy...it leaves me speechless..!!
There are 2 things so far that I really care about in life...music and science, science probably winning by a whisker...i know that may make me sound nerd-ish but I truly love to learn (not study ..Learn) and mostly I’m thinking about some weird question...a trait which when it spills into my social life annoys the hell out of people...when I ask the dreaded question "WHY??”...LOL. When I’m not doing that its usually music that occupies my mind...i wake up with a song in my head, and go to bed with one in my head...and am usually humming a tune...a lot of the times at very inappropriate moments...like exams, or when people are talking to me...but people who truly know me accept it... :) I play the guitar a bit and it has a calming effect on me so play it as often as I can :)…oh and one final thing I still cant tuck my shirt in!!! LOL ….
Well that’s enough for the intro I guess, for the rest… watch this space :)
